Dentistry From Our Hearts celebrated its 10th Anniversary of Free Dental Services

On Sunday, May 1st, Dentistry From Our Hearts (DFOH) celebrated its 10th anniversary of providing free dental services to underserved communities in South Florida. The event was held at two of their locations – Dental Care Group Aventura (and Dental Care Group Kids Aventura) and Dental Care Group Pembroke Pines, from 9am to 4pm. 

Dentistry From Our Hearts is an event that the Dental Care Group developed in 2010 to give back to the South Florida community. It is their way of saying “thank you” to South Florida. This event is designed for the “needy and not the greedy”, and every year it gets bigger and better. DFOH’s mission is to provide children and adults with the opportunity to smile proudly and healthily and to get some much-needed dental care. 

This year’s celebration was a huge success. Hundreds of patients were seen and received services that ranged from examinations and cleanings to fillings and extractions. The total value of the services provided on this day alone was over $150,000.

The entire team of the Dental Care Group volunteers their time on this annual day of giving.  Dr. Rick Mars, partner at The Dental Care Group, said “Everyone who participates in Dentistry From Our Hearts never forgets the feeling of giving AND gratitude that we receive from our patients. We are thankful to our entire team and sponsors for making it possible.”

The team at Dentistry from Our Hearts is excited to continue this tradition for many years to come! In 2023, the team hopes to set up larger goals and provide even more help to those who need it the most.
